  24. I looked into getting any form of bare bones Alpha system, and they don't seem
  25. too easy to come by.  They also don't seem to offer much price benefit over 
  26. systems from vendors like Carrera, Aspen,  Neko Tek, or Deskstation.  There is
  27. a MIPS product called the Shablamm Card from Shablamm Inc. (I think thats their
  28. name).  This is a MIPS 100 or 133 Mhz processor with 32Mb of that new kind of
  29. RAM (effective 15ns) on board.  It fits into a VLB slot on an existing motherboard.
